Thanks Jeff, your journey is amazing. We bought our little bit of land because we realized it still contained a bit of old short grass prairie, including lead plant. We’ve expanded the square footage and added to the variety over the years. Lots of native milkweed. My husband cherishes the wild orange butterfly weed. We have swamp milkweed growing adjacent to our property. Wish it would grow on ours, but we’re too dry. I grew up in urban Chicago, one grandparent on each side was an avid gardener but my parents only cultivated dirt. Waited a long time to get my hands dirty. I’m searching for my first Karner Blue among the Lupines … one day, sigh. I’ll be visiting your blog frequently. Thanks for stopping by.
There is so much to note here, the asters are sharp, and the droplets are a bonus. The honeybee is focused and busy. So much to enjoy . . . .
