…and with the road less paved begins the journey of looking in, of seeing far above the short sedge grasses of spring in the flooded marshes to the deep blue sky beyond. Everything is sound, scent, sight – a lovers touch of sensory overload luring me off the paved roads and into the lonely arms of central Wisconsin’s natural areas.

Thank you. I think I’ll enjoy returning to nature writing after a ten year hiatus. Let’s see how if I can figure out which are cobwebs and which are broken brain circuits. Hope to have photos and sound bites coming soon.
